Durham showed alot of character in overcoming a 5-1 defeicit going into the 3rd, but the Rink Rats held off the charge to skate away with the win. Man of the Match Chris Martin put 4 away for the winning side with Scootter adding the 5th. It was a close game, staying 3-1 until opening up a bit in the 3rd. MoM for the Rink Rats, Martin Smith with 2 goals. Thanks to Rob MacGregor for filling in as ref and a big thanks to Amanda Johnson for the fine DJ work!27/02/2004 Rink Rats 1st win of 2004We won our first game of 2004 in fine fashion, downing the Milton Keyne Jesters 8-6. It was a hard fought game and a great time was had by all. That's because I don't have an updated roster list from Ken, which I will sort out tonight. That's will only get your name on the list though, if you want to have a profile page, please see me to get one a profile form, or download one here and e-mail it back to me.26/01/2004 TRAINING QUESTIONNAIREAs you all know we now have 4 coaches to share the load of training. In order to help us make sure the training meets your expectations, a training questionnaire has been prepared and is available here. Paper copies will be distributed at training on the 28th and these must be returned by the 4th of February. If we only get one back, this will decide training for the next 3 months, so fill it out!25/01/2004 AN UPDATE TO THE SITE!!!Hi all, well it has only been over a year but the site has an update! At a recent Extraordinary AGM some changes took place to the team officials, the new positions are now held by:Team Manager - Rob McGregorTeam Chairman - Scott van Slyck (Scootter)Team Captain- Dave Weston (Westie)Team Treasurer - Steve BryantMatch Co-ordinator - Lisa ParkTeam Coaches - Ken Clarke, Simon Jones, Steve Whyte, Scott van SlyckThe biggest change is that the coaching duties will now be shared, and the training sessions will be run in a rotating fashion. The coaches will be meeting monthly to work out the drills, etc. and as it's YOUR team, please let one of us know if you want to try different drills, have a drill that you think is great, or any other feedback!Updates to the site should happen more often as the Webmaster (Scootter) now has some HTML editing software sorted.Thanks to the departing comittee members, your dedication and hard work was appreciated!20/11/2002 NEW TEAM TOP MINDER NEEDEDAttention all Rink Rats. Due to circumstances beyond her control, Lisa won't be able to take care of the tops any longer. The Rink Rats want to take a moment to thank her for all her hard work in making sure we always had clean and fresh smelling tops for our matches, home or away... so well done Lisa! Now the mantle needs to be passed on...who will step up to the challenge and be the new top minder? This means making sure the right tops are at the match, collected after the matches and laundered. The team will pay for the cost of laundry detergent or the use of a laundrette. Volunteers please contact Scootter.
