Gallery 1 Chasing a hit and run...

Background

Well, once again work has taken me outside of the UK, this time to Denmark. I am working for a company called BiogenIdec as a Program Manager, working on a couple of very interesting programmes of work..

Once again I am living here during the week, and returning home on alternate weekends. Sadly, the flight back on a Monday morning would require me to get up at 0330h, and I think after a few weeks of that I would be ill or insane, so I stay over alternate weekends.

But we have gotten used to it, and once again, Caz will come for the odd visit now and again. It's a 6 month contract, so I got a flat, photos of which you can see in page one of the Gallery, here. I was very lucky and managed to get a flat, parking permit and found a hockey team to play with, all in under 24 hours... so that was a great thing to sort out so quickly.

I had to invest a little into my flat, as a the Danish meaning of a furnished flat can mean one chair and a bookcase... :) Now granted, this flat wasn't that bad, but was awfully spartan, minimalist I suppose you may call it.

The hockey team I am playing for is called the Gladsaxe Bears Old Boys 4, you can see a link here . So far it seems like a fantastic group of guys and they have made me feel very welcome indeed, so I look forward to a season of hockey in Denmark to add to my experiences.

The map below shows Denmark and just north of Copenhagen (marked with a star in the far East of Denmark) is Hillerod where I work. It is a big bonus to live in Copenhagen and work outside as I am commuting against traffic, so I can smile at all the cars queued up in the opposite direction... :)

Anyway, that is the background of the role, which started in early October and now it is bed time for me, since I start at 0830h, but finish at 1630h... :)
