Our Wedding Pictures

As you may or may not know, we became Mr. & Mrs. Scott & Caz van Slyck on the 13th of November, 2004 at the St. Kyneburgha in the village Castor-Ailsworth by Reverend William Burke.

As an odd coincidence, I have ancestors named Aylsworth which apparently is an alternative spelling known to the Reverend, and as the church has been there in one form or another since the year 600 A.D. there is an excellent chance I was married in the shadow of my ancestors!

The wedding was all planned on very short notice, 4 days in fact, and we were thrilled that it all came together and that our family could make it, a very special thanks from me to Ronald and Sandra, who came over from Rotterdam on Saturday morning for the wedding, in spite of only being asked on the Wednesday prior! It made the day very special for me to have family there (albeit distant), since I am estranged from my immediate family.

We are still planning the full on fete in April, so we are considering this our 'Rehearsal' Wedding and are planning a 'Rehearsal' Honeymoon to the islands of Zanzibar on the 8th of December.

(Would be burglers be aware, our house is watched, alarmed and guarded by two lethal attack kittens!)

On this page you will find pictures from the day, taken by Sandra and two complete strangers who just happened to be photographing the church and kindly agreed to take some photos.

We had hoped they would take just a group one, but as you will see, they took a wide array of professional quality shots so we are extremely grateful to Nick Hillson & Andy Vernum, as they provided us with even more memories of our very special day.

And now... onto the photos!
